Overview

These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply to Sobree - Sobriety Tracker, developed by Ahmet Atar. By accessing or using the app, users acknowledge this page and the conditions described here.

Sobree may include progress tracking, journaling, reminders, widgets, optional premium features, and optional integrations with Apple platform services. If a specific feature is not enabled or not available on a device, the related data practices may not apply in that situation.

Privacy Policy

Sobree is designed to support a personal and sensitive journey. For that reason, the app is intended to collect and process only the information reasonably needed to provide its features, maintain reliability, and support user-requested functionality.

1. Information users may provide

  • Tracker details, milestones, check-ins, reflections, journal entries, settings, and similar content entered in the app.
  • Support messages or emails sent directly to the developer.
  • Optional wellness-related information made available through Apple Health, if permission is granted.

2. Information generated through app use

  • Purchase, subscription, and entitlement status made available through Apple StoreKit systems.
  • Technical and sync-related state needed for local storage, widgets, reminders, notifications, and cross-device continuity.
  • Local app state stored on the device or through Apple-managed services that is necessary for sync, widgets, reminders, and feature continuity.

3. How information may be used

  • To provide and maintain core app functionality.
  • To save content on-device and, where applicable, sync data across Apple devices.
  • To power widgets, notifications, personalization, and feature continuity.
  • To verify premium access, restore purchases, and manage subscription-related features.
  • To respond to support messages that users choose to send directly to the developer.

4. Health data

If Sobree requests access to Apple Health, that access is optional and controlled through Apple's permission flow. Health-related information is only accessed if a user explicitly authorizes it. If permission is denied or later revoked, related features may become limited or unavailable.

Health-related information is intended to support user-facing app features and is not described on this page as being used for advertising purposes.

5. Apple services and device features

Sobree may rely on Apple-provided services and frameworks such as CloudKit, iCloud, HealthKit, WidgetKit, UserNotifications, and StoreKit. When sync or similar platform features are enabled, relevant data may be transmitted to and stored within Apple-managed systems associated with the user's Apple account and device environment.

6. Sharing of information

Sobree does not describe any sale of personal information. App content is not intended to be shared with advertising networks or unrelated third parties as part of normal use of the app.

Sobree does not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking tools in the app experience described on this page.

Information may be disclosed only when reasonably necessary to operate the services a user chooses to use, comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate misuse, or protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the developer, or others.

7. Data retention

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, support requested features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements. Retention periods may differ depending on whether information is stored only on-device, synced through Apple services, or contained in direct support correspondence. In normal use, most app content remains under the user's control on their device and in their Apple account environment.

8. User choices and requests

  • Users can choose whether to grant permissions such as notifications and Apple Health access.
  • Users can manage Apple account and device settings that affect sync, notifications, or health permissions.
  • Users can remove app content from within the app where deletion tools are available, or delete the app and its local data from their device.
  • Requests relating to privacy or support can be sent to the contact address listed on this page.

9. Children

Sobree is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law to provide valid consent in their jurisdiction, unless the App Store listing clearly states otherwise.

10. International use

Depending on location, device settings, and Apple infrastructure, information may be processed or stored in countries other than the one where a user resides.

11. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date when applicable.

Terms of Use

By downloading, accessing, or using Sobree - Sobriety Tracker, users agree to these Terms of Use. If a user does not agree, the app should not be used.

1. License

Subject to these terms and any applicable App Store rules, users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sobree for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Acceptable use

  • Users may not misuse, interfere with, or attempt unauthorized access to the app or related systems, except where such restriction is not permitted by law.
  • Users may not use the app in a manner that violates applicable law or infringes the rights of others.
  • Users may not transmit malicious code, fraudulent information, or abusive material through the app.

3. Wellness information only

Sobree is provided for informational, journaling, motivational, and personal wellness purposes only. It is not medical advice, mental health treatment, diagnosis, emergency response, or a substitute for professional care. Anyone in crisis or in need of urgent assistance should contact qualified emergency or health services in their area immediately.

4. Premium features and subscriptions

Some features may require a paid subscription or other in-app purchase. Billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple under the user's App Store account terms and policies, unless otherwise stated in the app.

Sobree may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, such as monthly and yearly Sobree Premium plans. Subscription titles, durations, prices, and included premium features are shown in the app before purchase. Prices may vary by country or region and are displayed using Apple's App Store pricing information.

Payment is charged to the user's Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. The user's Apple ID account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Users can manage or cancel subscriptions after purchase in their App Store account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals, but access to paid features may continue until the end of the current paid period. Refunds, refund eligibility, billing issues, and subscription changes are handled by Apple according to App Store policies.

If Sobree offers a free trial or introductory offer, the offer terms will be shown before purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when a subscription is purchased, where permitted by Apple's terms and applicable law.

5. Availability and changes

Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed over time. Sobree does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the app, widgets, sync, notifications, or any particular feature set.

6. Intellectual property

The app, branding, design, text, graphics, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Ahmet Atar, except for third-party materials and Apple platform assets that remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Termination

Access to the app or certain features may be suspended or terminated if these terms are violated, if continued operation becomes unlawful or unsafe, or if the app is discontinued.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sobree is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ahmet Atar will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to use of the app.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer's place of residence, excluding conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory local consumer law requires otherwise.

11. Platform terms

If Sobree is obtained through Apple platforms, use of the app is also subject to any applicable Apple terms and conditions.
